After the head shaman leads you past the guards, enter the outdoor courtyard where the shamans are praying. Instead of continuing straight toward the Sleeper Temple entrance and its barrier, take the cave entrance on the right. Inside the Shamans' Living Quarters Cave, the chest stands at the front of a single-tent living area beside a large cooking pot and several cooking utensils arranged in a semicircle.
